“I am in the process of buying a home in Las Vegas and not knowing the area or weather conditions that may affect a home, I needed a professional inspection of the home I fell in love with.
I was referred to many companies so I did some
Research on my own. Looking at reviews on line and talking to Several real estate agents. I narrowed my search down to 3.
Watch dogs inspectors had very impressive reviews but I zeroed in on probably the only one negative review I saw. I was very impressed by their response to it. They were respectful and clearly explained to their client what the miscommunication was. Something the client missed.
Because of how they responded, I hired them.
They were quick to respond and schedule an inspection. My inspector ( Rick ) showed up on time at 9:00 A.M. He inspected everything for 1 1/2 hours. I arrived at 10:30 with my realtor and we did a complete walk through. He pointed out things I never saw when I went through the house prior.
He took many pictures that were included in the full report made available the following morning.
During the walk through he explained everything in easy terms. Rick was VERY professional and very easy to talk to. Incouraged us to ask him anything anytime.. no questions were too dumb.
Here's the kicker, we had just found out that morning ( before Rick showed up ) that there had been a previous water leak on the 2nd floor bathroom that leaked to the garage a couple years prior. It had been repaired and showed no signs of damage. I planned on asking Rick about it.
However during the walk through, he pointed out the location that he spotted as having some kind of work being done previously in the garage. He suspected a water leak prior and tested it with a thermo device and he assured us that there was no moisture detected. The realtor and I looked at each other and smiled and felt relieved. We couldn't tell anything had been worked on at all. But looking really really hard at the ceiling of the garage you could barely see where the drywall had been replaced. We later got copies of the repair work done by the insurance company and contractor.
We were very pleased.
Happy to say we are in the final stages of owning this home and we feel very safe and satisfied by the inspection Rick and WDHI gave our home. My son is planning on moving to the area and I will definitely be hiring WDHI.
Oh, the price is very very reasonable. I thought I was going to pay twice the amount they charged.
Don't bother looking anywhere else for an inspection. I will sleep so much better now that I know my home is in great condition!”
